San Francisco is packed with attractions for visitors of all kinds. No matter what your age, you will certainly not be bored in this laid-back Californian city. Many visitors head back to San Fran time and time again, exploring the various neighbourhoods it is so famous for.

The great thing about this particular destination is that it is so easy to get around, being quite a compact city. Despite that, you could make your visit even more special by hiring a limo to pick you up and take you back to the airport! What better way to start or end your San Fran holiday?

One particular part of San Francisco which is extremely popular is Fisherman’s Wharf. Here you will find the ferries which head over to Alcatraz, a definite must visit, but you will also find Pier 39.

Fisherman’s Wharf is extremely busy most of the time, with around 12 million visitors heading there every year. It’s popularity is testament to how fantastic a destination it is however, and if you are a seafood lover, this is another reason to head here, with a huge range of different restaurants serving fresh catch.

Aside from fish, Pier 39 in particular is where you will find plentiful entertainment. If you love sea lions, certainly head here, as the playful animals can be seen quite often in this particular part of the Bay. Alternatively, you will find lots of museums, shops, buildings, and stunning views in Fisherman’s Wharf overall, but Pier 39 is home to Aquarium of the Bay, Magowan’s Infinite Mirror Maze, San Francisco Carousel, Wine Tasting on the Bay, as well as many other attractions, street performers, and musical fun to be had.

Of course, we can’t talk about San Francisco and not mention the Golden Gate Bridge! The sight of this amazing structure rising up into the sky is something everyone should check out and get a photo or two of. During certain times you will see that strange summer fog which seems to encompass the Bay itself, making parts of the bridge seem to disappear – it’s quite a magical, but rather weird sight to catch!

Put simply, a holiday or a few days in San Francisco will not be an event which leaves you bored for even a second. There is far too much to pack into San Fran during one visit, and Pier 39 itself has enough to occupy most people for a few days at least!
